We meet fortnightly on Monday evenings from September to June at St. Petroc's Parish Centre, Church Square, Bodmin PL31 2DP.

Doors open at 7:15 pm and meetings start at 7:30 pm.

What happens at the Camera Club?

We run print and projected digital image (PDI) competitions throughout the club season on various subjects. Entry into any of these is purely voluntary.

The club also offers talks on various topics of photographic interest, workshops and demonstrations, and a variety of seasonal social events. The Programme page shows the meetings planned for the current season.

What are our meetings like?

First and foremost, you will receive a warm welcome, whether you are a happy snapper, a novice enthusiast, or a seasoned photographer. We always have a break midway during which you can mingle with others to share experiences and interests, or simply have a cup of tea or coffee.

If the evening is a print and projected digital image competition meeting, You will be able to review and score all of the photos laid out and shown on the digital display; you will be able to hear our competitions secretaries views as the photos are presented one-by-one for critique. Members enjoy not only the competitive element but the constructive comments that are given on everyone's photos that enable members to continuously improve their skills.

For some evenings, we have guest speakers who will share their photographic interests, whether it is a journey through some remote and exotic land or a particular genre such as landscape photography or portraiture. Other guest speakers may be invited to provide technical insight and workshops into subjects such as colour management, lighting, or Photoshop skills.

Welcome. Relax, enjoy, and have fun.
